Amtrak Auto Train update!

I’m currently at the Auto Train station, where I’ve surrendered my car to the attendants and am now inside, waiting to board. It doesn’t look like the train will be very crowded, and the passengers already here are mostly old folks, presumably the birds who fly south for the winter. I’m charging up my iBook on the last power I’m likely to have access to until tomorrow morning, so I’ll wait until I’m on reserves to send in the last post of the night. I want to capture as much of the experience as possible.
